  18. Hello Im trying to figure out how to make a melee attack for my character.
Could you please do a tutorial on how to give your player a melee attack.
Also in older games like River City Ransom, Streets of Rage, and Final
Fight i notice that there is something that stops the character from moving
past a specific line in the background do you have any idea on how i might
accomplish these two things i would really like to know thank you very much.

  19. hey it really works i love you man thanx

  20. Great tutorial man- love the simplicity. Just one issue I noticed- if your
background is not tiled (eg i have a planetoid passing by in the
background) AND if your character starts in the middle of the map, rather
than at the left or right edge, the background will not appear on screen.
This is simply rremedied however- change each line of code to something
    like this: background_x[1] = view_xview[0]/4 + 2000; or whatever extra
value you need to bring it back on screen.

  21. thank you, this is a good solution for what I’m working on!

  22. Thanks a lot!
